As a result, between 1,500 and 2,000 buildings have been damaged. Among the targets hit were Lukianivska and Vokzalna metro stations, the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital, the Retroville shopping center, and residential areas on Kudriashova Street and Akademika Serkova Street, along with many other locations.

While most of the destroyed buildings have either been dismantled or restored, the scars of war remain. Memorial plaques, damaged walls, and the ruined wing of the Okhmatdyt hospital—where children’s toys still lie untouched—serve as solemn reminders of the tragedies that unfolded.

Despite adapting to life under war conditions, with air raid sirens becoming a part of daily routine, Kyiv’s residents continue to endure ongoing attacks and destruction. Meanwhile, municipal workers and construction teams work tirelessly to rebuild the city, striving to restore a sense of normalcy amid the devastation.
