Center Plus – практичні навчання цивільних поводження зі зброєю та стрільби, Жінки на війні

In the Kyiv region, civilian women are stepping up to prepare for the unthinkable. Margo, Yevheniia, Tetiana, and Valeriia are among the participants in a national resistance training course held by the Kyiv Regional National Resistance Center.

The program includes intensive training in firearms handling, military tactics, combat engineering, topography, and tactical medicine. What’s striking? The majority of the course participants are women.

“We owe men nothing,” says one of the trainees, summarizing the powerful sense of self-reliance and responsibility that motivates many women to take part in the program.

Some instructors—veterans from the 3rd Assault Brigade and Azov Regiment—encourage the growing female participation, while cautioning against formal enlistment due to the demands of frontline combat. Still, these women train with real weapons, learn to move under fire, and study battlefield survival.

Each woman has her own reason for being here—whether it’s a response to Russia’s full-scale invasion, a desire to protect family, or a personal stand for Ukraine’s future.

This training represents a broader trend across Ukraine: civilian empowerment through knowledge and action. In times of war, resistance isn’t just a battlefield—it’s a mindset.
